Who Can Visit?

Anyone who needs food is welcome at the Haven at Denison Avenue United Church of Christ. The pantry is part of the church's outreach mission and has been serving about 100 families in the community each month. Visitors have shared that people are welcomed "with open arms and no judgement," making it a safe and supportive place to come.

Food & Essentials

Each month, the pantry distributes around 6,000 pounds of groceries, including meat, fresh produce, canned goods, and other staples. Clothing is also available for visitors who need it.

How to Pick Up

Groceries are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. during regular outreach hours. The pantry also holds a special monthly distribution on the 4th Tuesday of each month, running from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, in partnership with Dover Congregational UCC in Westlake.

Additional Support

A free hot lunch is served every day the center is open, so you can grab a meal while you visit. The center also runs a program called "Mending Broken Hearts" for anyone looking to heal from difficult experiences. The group meets on Fridays at 1:00 p.m. and you can sign up by calling or texting (216) 352-3663.

Facilities

Hot showers, laundry facilities, and a clothing closet are all available on-site, free for visitors to use.
