Who Can Visit?

LCSC delivers food to low-income families in the Lakewood area. To receive food, you'll need to register through their online application first.

How to Register?

Fill out the Home Delivery Application on their website. Once you're registered, LCSC's delivery team will bring food right to your door.

How Often You Can Visit?

Every registered household gets a delivery twice a month. The team drives to all 1,400+ households in Lakewood Monday through Friday.

Food & Essentials

LCSC delivers a mix of healthy food with every order. Fresh produce sourced from Giant Eagle and the Sanson Company is added to deliveries each week. Freshly baked bread and bakery goods from local donors like Blackbird Baking Company, Breadsmith, and Heinen's are also included. Deliveries include shelf-stable items purchased through the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, as well as food from other vendor partners and retailers. For seniors, the team makes a special effort to include low-sodium and low-sugar products.

How to Pick Up

LCSC runs a 100% home delivery model, so there's no pick-up location to visit. The delivery team drives to registered households Monday through Friday and brings food right to your door. Sign up through the Home Delivery Application to get started.

Additional Support

A network of local church volunteers and St. Edward High School hosts free community meals at different Lakewood locations throughout the month. Options include dine-in, take-out, and drive-up. View the full schedule at the Community Meals Calendar.

Seniors living in subsidized apartment buildings in Lakewood and Rocky River can receive monthly food deliveries. To sign up, contact your building's service coordinator or building manager.

LCSC also offers case management, referrals to community resources, and cash help for rent and utilities to Lakewood residents at risk of losing their housing.

Ways to Give

You can donate online through PayPal. LCSC also welcomes in-kind donations of non-food items that are always needed, including personal care and hygiene products, toilet paper and paper towels, laundry and dishwashing soap, and disposable diapers. These items can't be purchased with food stamps. Reach LCSC at (216) 226-6466 or through their contact page.

How to Join the Team?

LCSC depends on volunteers to run daily operations. Tasks include sorting fresh produce, pre-packing shelf-stable foods, preparing donated bread for the freezer, helping with new client sign-ups, and making survey calls. Fill out the Volunteer Application to get started. To volunteer at a community meal, contact the individual host site and ask for the Community Meal Coordinator.
