Who Can Visit?

Jordan's Crossing Resource Center is open to low-income families, as well as individuals experiencing homelessness and addiction, on the west side of Columbus, particularly in the Hilltop area. Everyone is welcome to come in for food and support.

Good to Know

The center serves more than 500 people each month. Visitors can expect a hot lunch on weekdays starting at 11:00 a.m., and a community meal on Friday evenings at 6:00 p.m. The Fresh Food Market runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12:00 p.m. If you come, just tell the volunteers how many people are in your family and they'll put together a package to help get you through a couple of days, plus a hot meal for that first night.

Food & Essentials

Jordan's Crossing offers daily hot lunches Monday through Friday, a Fresh Food Market on Tuesdays and Thursdays, a community meal on Friday evenings, and a choice pantry program with grocery items. The center distributes canned goods, bread, and other shelf-stable items. Visitors can also receive hygiene products, clothing, tarps, tents, sleeping bags, propane stoves, and small propane tanks (bring back empty tanks to exchange for full ones).

Additional Support

Beyond food, Jordan's Crossing offers a wide range of support services. They provide treatment program referrals and sobriety mentoring for people dealing with addiction. Narcan is available on-site as a life-saving resource, with about 1,000 units distributed each month. The Mount Carmel Medical Coach visits on Thursdays from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. for health services. The center also helps with rental assistance, connecting people with the resources they need to stay housed. Referrals to other community service providers are available for needs the center can't fill directly.
