Who Can Visit?

The Our Lady of Guadalupe Center food pantry is here to serve the low-income Hispanic and Latino community, including immigrants, in Columbus, Ohio. The center's purpose is to support families and individuals in the Latino community who need access to culturally appropriate food and other essential resources.

How to Register?

To visit the pantry, you'll need to call 211 first to make an appointment. The pantry is open on Wednesdays and Thursdays with two shifts at 9:30 AM and 12:00 PM.

Food & Essentials

The pantry provides culturally appropriate food supplies. Based on what the center lists as needed donations, the pantry typically stocks dry goods like rice, dry beans (black or pinto), cooking oil, sugar, salt, and spaghetti, as well as canned goods such as tuna in water, vegetables, fruits, tomato sauce, and condensed milk. A reviewer notes the pantry often has fresh food available.

Personal care items are also distributed, including dishwashing and laundry detergent, bar soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, diapers, diaper wipes, toilet paper, and cleaning supplies.

How to Pick Up

When you arrive for your appointment, you'll sign in and receive a number. Your number will be called over the speaker when it's your turn. A volunteer will assist you as a personal shopper inside the pantry.

Additional Support

The Our Lady of Guadalupe Center offers a wide range of support services beyond the food pantry:

  • English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for adults looking to improve their English skills
  • Legal information and aid workshops to help navigate legal questions and systems
  • Entrepreneurial workshops for those interested in starting or growing a business
  • Case management services, available Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM by appointment. Call (614) 756-2470 to schedule with a case manager.
  • Community events to encourage integration and personal development
  • All services are provided free of charge as part of the center's Catholic commitment to the community
