Who Can Visit?

Anyone is welcome to come and receive assistance at Cross & Crown Mission. There are no zip code restrictions, so you don't need to live in a specific area to get help. The food pantry is open to all individuals and families.

Items Needed for Registration

You'll need to bring an ID for each person in your household that you'd like to claim. Any form of ID is acceptable.

How Often You Can Visit?

Each individual or family can receive free groceries once every two weeks.

Food & Essentials

The food pantry provides canned goods, rice, beans, and frozen meats. They occasionally have dairy products and fresh fruit as well. On Mondays and Wednesdays, the donations coordinator picks up fresh fruits and vegetables along with bakery items like cookies, cakes, and donuts. A food box typically contains pasta, beans, applesauce, canned goods, crackers, snacks, and other items.

The baby room offers diapers, formula, clothing, and other items for babies and expecting mothers.

How to Pick Up

Starting at 8:00 am on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, a sign-up list is placed outside for the first 40 families or individuals wanting food pantry assistance. Doors open to the public at 10:30 am. Volunteers and staff hold a prayer time from 10:00 to 10:30 am, so the doors won't open during that window.

Additional Support

Cross & Crown Mission offers free legal services through the Trinity Legal Clinic, thanks to Christian attorneys who volunteer their time. The clinic handles cases ranging from wrongful denial of jobs to immigration issues, minor criminal issues, and unfair housing practices. Legal appointments are available on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month. Staff will let clients know their appointment details after an intake form is filled out on-site.

The mission also offers prayer counseling. Everyone who comes for assistance has the opportunity to sit down, talk, and pray with a prayer counselor. You're welcome to come for prayer on any day, not just days when you're picking up food.

Mentoring relationships are available to help individuals grow, with mentors offering physical, mental, and spiritual guidance.

Facilities

The clothing store is open Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. All clothing and household items in the store are 10 cents each. If you're not able to pay, staff are happy to talk with you about your situation and make sure you get what you need. No sign-up or ID is required to shop at the clothing store. You can visit the clothing store as often as you'd like.

Ways to Give

Cross & Crown Mission is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so all financial gifts are tax deductible. You can give a one-time gift online through PayPal or contact the mission to set up a recurring donation. To discuss recurring giving, call (405) 232-7696 or reach out through the donate page. You can also mail a check payable to "Cross and Crown Mission" to 1008 N. McKinley, OKC, OK 73106.

Food and supply donations are also welcome. You can drop off items Monday through Wednesday between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, or Thursday from 12:30 to 3:00 pm. You can also contact the mission to arrange pickup of larger donations.

How to Join the Team?

Volunteers are welcome Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Volunteer opportunities include working in the food pantry, clothing room, or prayer room from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. You don't need to commit to the full time period. Volunteers should arrive between 8:30 and 10:00 am so they can join the staff and volunteer prayer time that starts at 10:00 am.
