Who Can Visit?

The Homeless Alliance Day Shelter at WestTown Homeless Resource Campus is open to anyone experiencing homelessness in Oklahoma City. You don't need ID to visit, and pets are welcome too. The campus is open every day of the week.

Good to Know

The Day Shelter is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day at 1729 NW 3rd Street. The Resource Center (for housing and other services) is open 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and is closed on holidays. The campus is near EMBARK bus routes 008, 007, 038, and 009, and the free MOE shuttle. One review noted that lines can be long early in the morning, so it may help to plan accordingly.

Food & Essentials

The Day Shelter serves breakfast and lunch to guests seven days a week. In 2025, the shelter served over 139,000 meals and averaged 321 guests per day. Reviewers mention coffee is available at breakfast time.

How to Pick Up

Just walk in during Day Shelter hours (7 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day). Meals are served to guests on-site at the shelter.

Additional Support

The campus brings together dozens of nonprofit and government partners under one roof. Services available include:

  • Housing assistance: Case managers help people experiencing homelessness connect to housing programs for families with children, veterans, victims of domestic violence, people leaving the justice system, people who are HIV positive, and people who are chronically homeless. You can also call 405-415-8410 between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • Health clinics: On-site health care and access to medications.
  • Legal assistance: Budgeting and legal help available on campus.
  • Veterans services: Specific programs for veterans.
  • Street outreach: A team goes out into the community to connect people with services.
  • Mail service: You can use the campus address for mail.
  • Computer access: Computers are available for guests to use.
  • Document help: Staff can help you get your birth certificate, ID, or driver's license.
  • SNAP and DHS access: Reviewers mention DHS representatives visit to help with benefits.

Facilities

The Day Shelter offers free showers for guests. There's also a pet kennel where you can leave your dog or cat while you're on campus. Pet food is available through donations, and a vet comes out once a month to look at pets, give shots, and provide vouchers for spay and neuter services. The shelter also provides a mailing address.
