Who Can Visit?
The Millvale food pantry is open to people facing hardship or financial need who live in the Millvale service area in Northern Allegheny County. Visit the office and service area page to confirm your zip code is covered by this location. All services are free.

Good to Know
NHCO Millvale has a dedicated gluten-free section for people who need gluten-free food because of a medical condition. It's one of only six food pantries in the Pittsburgh area to offer this.
Food & Essentials
The pantry provides shelf-stable groceries including peanut butter, canned beans, canned tuna, pasta sauce, ramen, and boxed side dishes. Fresh produce harvested from NHCO's community garden is also shared at the pantry.
Additional Support
The Millvale office offers several services beyond the food pantry, all at no cost:
- Utility and rental assistance: Help for qualifying families with heating bills, electricity, and backed rent.
- Free tax preparation: Free tax filing help for eligible households.
- Employment services: Connection with a career counselor to assess your skills and help you find work.
- Transportation assistance: Multiple programs to help with transportation challenges, including car purchase support.
- Pathways Program: Long-term coaching and goal-setting for individuals and families over time.
- Ask The Attorney: Free 30-minute consultations with a volunteer attorney on any noncriminal legal matter.
- Services for Older Adults: Programs helping seniors stay safe and live with dignity at home.
Ways to Give
Food donations can be dropped off at the Millvale location or any NHCO office Monday through Friday, 9am to 4pm, no appointment needed. The pantry most needs peanut butter, canned beans, canned tuna, boxed side dishes, snack foods, pasta sauce, and ramen. You can also order from their Amazon Wishlist and have items shipped directly. Fresh produce and seeds from home gardens are welcome too, as long as items are clearly labeled. NHCO can't accept expired food, prepared meals, clothing, furniture, or household items.
To give money, donate online at nhco.org/donate, text NHCO to 44-321 for a quick link, call 412-487-6316, or mail a check to North Hills Community Outreach, 1975 Ferguson Road, Allison Park, PA 15101.
