How to Pick Up
This is a drive-in pantry. When you arrive, you fill out a sheet listing what you'd like. Volunteers act as personal shoppers and bring your food selections out to your car.
Additional Support
The pantry offers home delivery for homebound clients and those without transportation. Call 412-819-6518 for details. A Senior Box Program is also available. Around the holidays, the pantry distributes Christmas gifts for children through the Angel Giving Tree program supported by local parishes.
Ways to Give
Monetary donations and grocery gift cards are very much needed. Mail a check payable to "St Winifred Food Pantry" to 2840 Library Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15234. Online donations are accepted through St. Paul of the Cross at website.
For in-kind donations, the pantry especially needs non-perishable food staples such as pasta, pasta sauce, soups, cereal, rice, peanut butter, and jelly, as well as paper and personal products including diapers, bathroom tissue, paper towels, pet food, incontinence products, and hygiene items. Drop donations in the bin near the pantry door.
How to Join the Team?
St. Winifred is actively looking for volunteers, especially for Saturday morning shifts. Volunteers help pick up and deliver agency donations, set up before distributions, unload deliveries from the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, deliver food to home delivery recipients, and act as personal shoppers for drive-in guests. Call 412-819-6518 or fill out the online form at website. All volunteers must first complete the Diocese of Pittsburgh Safe Environment courses and clearances.
