Who Can Visit?

Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church's food pantry is open to anyone in the community and surrounding areas. When you come to pick up food, bring a valid form of ID such as a driver's license, passport, or green card. You'll also be asked to share some basic information verbally when you arrive.

Items Needed for Registration

  • A valid photo ID (driver's license, passport, or green card)

Good to Know

Food boxes are handed out on a first come, first serve basis starting at 9am, and distribution continues until all boxes are gone for the day. Arriving early gives you the best chance of getting a box. You don't need a car to participate - walk-up service is available alongside the drive-thru lane.

Food & Essentials

Each food box comes packed with fresh vegetables, fresh fruits, dairy products, bread, and meat. Additional items are included depending on what's available that week.

How to Pick Up

Food is distributed every Tuesday starting at 9am in a drive-thru style. Boxes are prepared ahead of time and loaded at your vehicle. If you don't have a car, walk-up service is also available.

Additional Support

Every third Thursday of the month, Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church hosts a Household Item Distribution event open to the community. Items available have included clothing and shoes for all ages, bathroom decor, wall hangings, kitchen supplies, and small appliances, with more depending on what's been donated. When you arrive, you'll fill out an intake form and be added to a list. Visitors are called in 5 to 6 at a time to shop, and shopping time is limited to make sure everyone in line gets a chance. Elderly and disabled visitors are served first from 11am to 1pm, followed by all other community members from 1pm to 3pm. Bring a valid ID to participate.

Ways to Give

Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church accepts gently used items through their "Phill the Box" fundraiser. Acceptable donations include clothes, comforters, sheets, blankets, towels, shoes, and purses. Place your bagged items in the blue donation containers at the rear of the church. Monetary gifts are welcome through CashApp (search $Pilgrimrestbaptistch) or through Zelle at 936-203-0718.

How to Join the Team?

Volunteers are always needed on food and household distribution days. If you'd like to lend a hand, fill out the volunteer interest form on the church website.
