Who Can Visit?

I Can Still Shine Program serves single women, single moms, and abused single moms in Tarrant County and the greater DFW area. All services are based on availability. To become a client, you'll need to call the office at 817-616-3500 and they'll email you a client intake form to fill out and return.

How to Register?

Call 817-616-3500 and the staff will email you a one-page client application. Once your form is in, client intake appointments are available Monday through Thursday, 1 to 4 pm. Please call one day ahead to schedule your appointment.

How to Pick Up

Clients pick up food and other items by appointment. Call one day in advance to schedule a time, then come in during appointment hours (Monday through Thursday, 1 to 4 pm).

Food & Essentials

The pantry provides food along with toiletries, household items, and clothing, all based on what's available at the time. Seasonal items like turkey dinners are distributed around the holidays when donations allow.

Additional Support

The program is not an overnight shelter, but staff are happy to refer women to local shelters and provide contact information for agencies that help with housing, including overnight shelters (call 800-799-7233 for the domestic violence hotline). The program also offers seasonal gift distributions for children around Christmas. Call the office to be added to the Christmas gift list, which closes October 18th each year.

Ways to Give

I Can Still Shine runs entirely on community donations and receives no government funding. You can make a financial gift online through the website, or mail a check. The program also welcomes car donations to help clients get to work. Food donations, clothing, and household items are accepted at the warehouse at 3313 Crites St, Richland Hills, TX 76118. The donation drop-off is open Monday through Thursday, 12 to 4 pm. For more information, call 817-616-3500 or email icanstillshine7@gmail.com.

How to Join the Team?

Volunteers are needed at the warehouse and at bi-monthly events (ages 16 and above). Tasks include stocking the food bank, organizing the clothing boutique, and helping at events. Volunteers at events should arrive 30 minutes early. To apply, download the PDF Application Form or call 817-616-3500 and the office will email the forms to you.
