Who Can Visit?

Casa de Luz welcomes neighbors in need of food assistance. You'll need to bring a valid photo ID and proof of your local address to receive food. The pantry is part of the Three Square Food Distribution system and serves the Las Vegas community, including the Naked City, Sherwood Forest, Paradise Flamingo, Sunrise Martin, and Spring Valley neighborhoods.

Items Needed for Registration

You'll need to bring two documents when you visit for the first time:

  • Photo ID: a valid state ID, passport, or military ID
  • Proof of residence: a lease agreement, rent receipt, utility bill, or a piece of recent mail

Both documents are required to register and receive food.

How Often You Can Visit?

You can visit once every 30 days per household. When you visit, you'll get a ticket that tells you when to come back, so make sure to bring it with you next time.

Good to Know

Casa de Luz typically serves between 120 and 150 people on each pantry day. The food is described by visitors as fresh and good quality. Before the pantry opens, there's a short prayer or bible study session in a covered area while volunteers get things ready. If you need help carrying heavy items to your car or transportation, volunteers are happy to help you load up. Parking is street-only, so plan a little extra time. Do not park in the 7-Eleven lot nearby, as cars there can be towed.

Food & Essentials

The pantry offers a variety of fresh and packaged foods, including:

  • Fruit and fresh vegetables
  • Meat
  • Canned goods and dry goods
  • Bread and dairy items

Casa de Luz is part of the Three Square Food Distribution system, which helps them offer quality food products.

How to Pick Up

When you arrive during pantry hours (Tuesday and Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.), volunteers pack quality food products for you. If you have trouble lifting heavy bags, volunteers will help carry things to your transportation.
