Who Can Visit?
The UNLV Food Pantry is open to current UNLV students, staff, and faculty members. You must be part of the UNLV community to receive food. The pantry serves as a year-round resource for anyone in the community who needs a little extra support.
Items Needed for Registration
When you arrive, a staff member will check you in at the front desk and verify that you're part of the UNLV community. You'll need to bring one of the following:
- A Rebel ID card
- Proof of employment at UNLV
- Proof of class registration at UNLV
How Often You Can Visit?
Members of the UNLV community can visit the pantry once a week.
Good to Know
When you visit, staff will ask a few questions about the size of your household so they can make sure you leave with enough food. One reviewer noted that selections tend to be fuller earlier in the week, so if you want the widest variety to choose from, try visiting on a Monday or Tuesday. The pantry is closed on university-observed holidays, so it's a good idea to check the UNLV holiday schedule before you go.
Food & Essentials
The pantry shelves are stocked with a wide range of items, including grains, canned foods, protein sources like poultry, seafood, meat, beans, nuts, and nut butters, as well as baking staples. You'll also receive fresh fruit and vegetables based on availability. Personal hygiene items like pads and tampons are available too, and reviewers have appreciated finding these on the shelves.
How to Pick Up
The UNLV Food Pantry is a client-choice pantry, which means you get to shop the shelves yourself and pick the items you want. When you arrive, you'll check in at the front desk, and then you're free to browse and choose from whatever's available that day.
Additional Support
The pantry has partnered with Three Square Food Bank and the Molasky family to run a Farmers Market. While the food pantry itself is only for UNLV students, staff, and faculty, the Farmers Market is open to anyone in the community. It takes place every second Saturday of the month and provides fresh produce, non-perishable food items, hygiene products, and more. Follow the Food Pantry on Instagram for the next event date.
If you need help with other basic needs on campus, you can visit the UNLV Student Support website. For additional food assistance beyond the pantry, the Three Square Food Bank is another helpful resource.
The pantry also offers free recipes from the UNLV Department of Nutrition to help you cook simple, nutritious meals using items you can find right at the pantry. Browse them at the UNLV Food Pantry Recipes page.
Ways to Give
The UNLV Food Pantry welcomes support from the Southern Nevada community. There are a few ways to help.

Donations must not exceed one month past their expiry date.
Non-food items that are especially helpful include tissue paper and paper towels, personal care products, dental hygiene items, hand sanitizer or wipes, new cooking utensils like can openers and mixing bowls, and school supplies like binders, pens, calculators, and backpacks.
