Who Can Visit?

Loop Ministries' Food Pantry serves families who live in and around Rochester's Inner Loop. To receive groceries, you need to live in one of these zip codes: 14603, 14604, 14605, 14614, or 14620. You'll be asked to show proof of your address. The pantry welcomes everyone and doesn't discriminate by age, sex, race, color, ethnicity, or disability.

Items Needed for Registration

Bring proof of your address. If you have a family and want additional groceries, you'll also need proof of how many people live in your home.

Good to Know

The pantry may be closed on holidays, so it's a good idea to call (585) 738-2170 first to make sure it's open. Loop Ministries also closes for bad weather whenever the Rochester School District is closed.

Food & Essentials

You'll receive a bag pre-packed with basic staples, and you can also choose additional food items and fresh produce to take home. The pantry receives free USDA food from FoodLink, so what's available can change from week to week.

How to Pick Up

The Food Pantry runs out of the foyer of The Lutheran Church of the Incarnate Word. Each visitor gets a pre-packed bag of basic staples, plus the chance to pick out extra food items and fresh produce.

Additional Support

Beyond groceries, Loop Ministries helps people apply for SNAP (food stamp) benefits and connects them to other local services that can help with different needs. The team also shares information about nutritious food and how to access it. Once a month, Loop hosts a Food for the Soul luncheon, a hot meal where guests can also receive a generous bag of groceries.

Ways to Give

There are a few ways to support the Food Pantry. You can donate online through PayPal, or drop off food donations in the foyer of The Lutheran Church of the Incarnate Word when the pantry is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 12pm. The pantry is always in need of nuts, crackers, cereal, granola bars, peanut butter, pasta, and rice. If you'd like to run a food drive, it's best to contact the Executive Director first, since the pantry's needs change often. You can reach the office at (585) 738-2170 or director@loopministries.org.

How to Join the Team?

Loop Ministries welcomes volunteers. You can help with administration, like coordinating volunteers or serving as a board member, or with communication, like graphic design, writing, or editing. To get involved, call the office at (585) 738-2170 or email director@loopministries.org.
