Good to Know
The pantry is open for a grocery-style shopping experience. Walk-ins are welcome, and no appointment is needed. One reviewer notes that parking can be hectic right when the doors open, so arriving 15 to 20 minutes after opening can mean no line and easier parking. If you can't make it yourself, you can send someone else to pick up food on your behalf using a completed Proxy Form. The network cannot offer home food delivery at this time.
Food & Essentials
The FPN Market on Brice Street offers a full grocery-style experience where you can shop for grocery items, fresh produce, meat, and dairy products. Reviewers mention regularly receiving fruits and vegetables, and bonus items like gift boxes from Harry and David have been given out during special occasions like Thanksgiving.
How to Pick Up
The FPN Market is a client-choice pantry where you shop for your own items like in a grocery store. You pick out the grocery items, produce, meat, and dairy you want. Walk-ins are welcome during market hours.
Additional Support
The network also offers a free senior food box program called the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), which provides a monthly box of USDA food commodities to qualifying Licking County residents aged 60 and older whose income is at or below 130% of the federal poverty level. Registration for CSFP is by appointment only at the Brice Street location. Call (740) 344-7401 to schedule your appointment. Distribution of CSFP boxes happens at the Licking County Aging Program (1058 East Main Street, Newark, Ohio 43055) on the last Wednesday of each month.
The network also partners with meal programs throughout the county for ready-to-eat meals, including:
