Good to Know
The pantry serves over 100 families every month and welcomes large families. It's run by Fishes & Loaves Cooperative Ministries, which has been serving the Hazelwood community since 2011.
How to Pick Up
Free groceries are handed out at the Spartan Community Center on the first Saturday of every month from 10 am to noon.
Additional Support
Fishes & Loaves Cooperative Ministries also offers several other food programs. Through their Meals on Wheels program, they deliver meals to neighbors who can't get out. Emergency food boxes are available for people in immediate need. Senior Boxes are delivered to neighbors on the first Wednesday of each month. A free lunch program operates on a grab-and-go basis, and a free porch refrigerator stocked by donors is available around the clock, seven days a week. You can learn more at their website.
Ways to Give
You can support the Spartan Community Center's building fund so that Fishes & Loaves and other nonprofits can keep running their programs here. Donations are accepted online, by cash or check, through corporate gifts, or through planned giving. To give online, visit the donation page or email scch.calendar@gmail.com with questions about planned giving.
How to Join the Team?
Spartan Community Center is managed by volunteers who help keep the building running and rental rates affordable. If you'd like to get involved, visit the volunteers page to learn more.
