SVDP: Little Flower - Food Distribution Center
Who Can Visit?
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul at Little Flower Basilica is here for anyone in the community who needs food assistance. If you have questions before you visit, you can call the SVDP office at (210) 236-5461.
Food & Essentials
Visitors receive a box of food to take home. One visitor shared that their package included frozen chicken, ingredients for a warm chicken soup, and snacks. The pantry also offers a choice of clothing items like dress shirts alongside the food.
How to Pick Up
When you come in, a volunteer will put together a box of food for you to bring home.
Additional Support
The Little Flower SVDP can also help with partial rent or utility costs for people in need, beyond food assistance.
Ways to Give
The SVDP welcomes donations of canned or dry goods. You can leave items in the drop-off boxes inside the Basilica's foyer before any public service, or drop them off at the St. Vincent de Paul office at 814 Kentucky Ave. To schedule a pick-up or drop-off, call (210) 236-5431.
Accepted items include peanut butter, oatmeal, tuna, beans, rice, macaroni and cheese, chili, canned soups and stews, canned vegetables, canned lunch meats, canned or boxed full meals, and pop-top food items.
