Who Can Visit?

Cornerstone Assistance Network's supportive services are open to individuals and families facing the effects of poverty in Tarrant County, Texas. To receive food, clothing, or other emergency assistance, you must be referred by a Cornerstone Network Partner church or organization. If you don't know a partner church or organization, you can contact a local church or service organization and ask them to reach out to Cornerstone on your behalf.

How to Register?

Coaching services are available by appointment on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm. Contact Cornerstone at 817-632-6000 or info@canetwork.org to get started through a partner referral.

Good to Know

A coach will start with a strength-based assessment to understand your situation and goals, then build an individualized care plan connecting you to Cornerstone programs and partner agencies across Tarrant County. All services are provided in English and Spanish.

Food & Essentials

Cornerstone provides groceries, meals, clothing, and household essentials to neighbors in crisis through their Community Resources program. The website describes meeting immediate needs with "meals, groceries, clothing, and household essentials" so people can stabilize and take the next step.

Additional Support

Cornerstone offers a wide range of services beyond food assistance:

  • Coaching Services - Personalized coaching and resource navigation to help people identify strengths, connect with services, and build life skills toward lasting independence.
  • Reentry Services - Support for people returning from incarceration, including guidance, resources, and connections to rebuild their lives. The Cornerstone First Stop Center is located at 2300 Circle Drive, Suite 2301, Fort Worth, TX.
  • Housing Support - A continuum of housing programs for men emerging from homelessness, individuals rebuilding after incarceration, and low-income seniors.
  • Charitable Medical Clinic - Free primary and preventive health care for uninsured adults in Tarrant County, including specialty care in dermatology, internal medicine, gynecology, orthopedics, and ophthalmology. Call 817-632-6020 for more information.
  • Cataract Clinic - Free cataract procedures for uninsured patients with loss of vision and no ability to pay. Call 817-632-6035 for more information.
  • Charitable Dental Clinic - Free comprehensive oral exams, radiographs, fillings, cleanings, extractions, partials, crown/bridge, and root canals for uninsured Tarrant County residents below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. Call 817-632-6022 for more information.

Facilities

Cornerstone has a Thrift Store on-site where you can find clothing, home decor, furniture, games, toys, and more. The thrift store is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 4pm and Saturday from 9am to 2pm.

Cornerstone is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and all donations are tax-deductible. You can make a financial donation online through their donation page. How to Join the Team?

Cornerstone welcomes individual and group volunteers. Close to 500 volunteers give over 15,000 hours each year serving in the Thrift Store, teaching classes, spending time with seniors, and helping with administration. To learn more about volunteering, email volunteer@canetwork.org. You can download an Individual Application or a Group Application, then save the completed form and attach it to an email to volunteer@canetwork.org. Healthcare professionals, Spanish translators, and administrative staff can also volunteer with the health services team by calling 817-632-6020.
